Classroom management – if behaviors aren’t getting better, make a change

Watch this video [1:36] to hear my thoughts on how we can’t keep doing the same thing around behavior if it isn’t working.

“Not again! We just went over this!”

These behaviors can be exhausting on a daily basis. Do you ever feel that no matter what you do, nothing is going to work?

When employees in the business world become disengaged, they don’t perform as well.

The same thing can happen to us in the classroom. When we become disengaged, we don’t perform as well either.

If the traffic on our way to work each morning were getting worse, would we keep going the same way at the same time, over and over again, day after day?

No! We would try to think of a different route. Or maybe leave earlier, or later.

We can’t keep doing the same thing in the classroom. If we’re becoming disengaged, we have to start looking for a different way to approach the problem.
