Rubrics: What They Really Are & What They Really Do
Available as a Workshop and/or Consulting by Caroline Cohen, Ph.D.
This workshop explores the ins and outs of rubrics and gives participants strategies for writing and using effective rubrics to grade student products. Discover what rubrics are and aren’t, and how valuable they can be for both teachers and students. Explore their uses with differentiated curriculum and instruction. Learn how to create new rubrics and checklists, improve existing ones, and use them to determine valid and reliable grades for student work. Time permitting, each participant will create a rubric for a student product. Make grading easier for you and more helpful for your students!
