Involve Parents Successfully In Your Classroom and School (based on Dr. William Glasser’s Choice Theory©)
Available as a Workshop and/or Consulting by Nancy S. Buck, Ph.D.
You’ve got to know what makes parents tick before you can successfully involve them in your school and your classroom. Plus you’ve got to share with them what your goals and objectives are for their children.
Dr. Nancy Buck will help participants learn how to increase successful outcomes for all by merging parents’ goals with school and educational goals. Dr. Buck’s groundbreaking techniques for parents, as described in her outstanding book Peaceful Parenting©, are based on Dr. William Glasser’s Choice Theory. Participants will:
- Explore their beliefs about the relationship between parents and schools/classrooms;
- Explore their beliefs about the relationship a professional educator should develop with their students’ parents and guardians;
- Identify problems from their perspective as educators;
- Examine problems from a parent’s perspective;
- Identify the present relationship with the parents of their students;
- Identify changes they think are needed;
- Identify obstacles in the way of those changes; and
- Develop solutions and strategies to develop and maintain successful parent involvement in their school and classroom!
