Hey, Let’s Put on a Writing Workshop! How to help students write more, write better, and be happier

The workshop format–where class members submit writing to their peers and teacher for group feedback–is absolutely the best way to teach creative writing and motivate students, including those kids who are intimidated by the writing process, or profess to hate it. In this interactive session, teachers will participate in a model writing workshop as both writers and feedback providers. Through this first-hand experience, educators will gain insights into how to use this format to create a learning environment for their students that is as positive as it is productive. Expect to write, share your writing, and respond to the work of other participants.
