Encouraging Early Language Skills for Children with Autism (2 – 5 years)
Available as a Workshop and/or Consulting by John Moran, Ed.D.
Though all children are helped when they receive early attention to their language skills, it is of paramount importance for the child with autism. This workshop will include:
- Overview of communication impairments;
- Teaching prelinguistic communication behaviors (e.g., point response, eye contact);
- Teaching beginning level nonverbal communication (e.g., object communication, picture communication); and
- Teaching beginning level verbal communication.
